EAST AFRICA REPORT

In three words, KENYA WAS AWESOME!

I and my friend, the tireless reformer and wise master builder – Maxwell Ogaga recently embarked on our second joint “African Reformatory Exploration” and this time around, our destination was EAST AFRICA, specifically Kenya. We were both in Liberia earlier in 2012 for 7 days and what a roller coaster it was! Our Arik Air flight via Accra to Monrovia was quite ‘eventful’. At a point,  we had to activate Great Faith while the aircraft maneuvered through inclement weather, but we held our peace knowing  Jonah was not on-board this particular flight. This was not just some fun trip, but rather a purpose driven commission laid on our hearts by God and we were rest assured an innumerable company of angels were on-board so we had nothing to worry about.

A few moments before we landed at the Robert’s International Airport in Monrovia, we literally felt the lingering after-effects of war in a land that had suffered protracted deadly conflict which did not give way to lasting peace until 2003 after two episodes of conflict (1989-1996 and 1999-2003).

During our sojourn, we spoke and ministered on a daily basis at Churches and Fellowships traversing multiple locations. On some days, we had to split and minister in as many as 3 different locations but we were prepared for this. It’s called the Apostolic MODE. It was such an unforgettable experience and our hosts were in no hurry to let go of us. As expected, Maxwell delivered powerfully  on Fathering and Sonship and he spent time establishing sound biblical doctrine in the churches in line with the biblical pattern modeled by Dr. David Ogaga (our spiritual father and set man over this commission). I focused on Kingdom Economics and Wealth Creation. Unprecedented doors popped open across denominations as we traversed Monrovia.

At the end of the Liberian voyage, we returned to Nigeria but not until we assured our hosts and new friends that we would be back in 2013 to hold expanded meetings that are set to reverberate throughout Monrovia (Monrovia is named after James Monroe – the 5th president of the USA) and the nation at large. We are confident the follow up voyage would orchestrate a quantum SHIFT in the hearts of Liberian youths and provide the quickening and acceleration needed to overturn the effects of war and rebuild the ruins. Apostle Ato was kind enough to drive us around Monrovia with visits to Mamba Point and the imposing statue of the Americo-Liberian - Joseph Jenkins Roberts (The 1st and 7th President of Liberia).

Pastor Rickpan (our gracious host), Pastor Success and Apostle Ato ensured we had the time of our lives in Liberia and I particularly enjoyed the “liver beans” prepared by Mrs. Ato.

Back to the KENYA
We jetted out at about mid-day on Aug 8, 2012 aboard Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 767-300ER Jetliner. It’s noteworthy to mention that Ethiopian Airlines was the first airline in Africa (and the first in the world outside of Japan) to take delivery of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. While flying over South Sudan, I held my breath and muttered a few prayers to deflect any stray missiles that may have emanated from whatever was left of the warring factions in South Sudan - a nation that had a reputation for endless conflict, starvation and human right abuses…..but all that seems to be changing now – Glory to God and Peace be unto all men.

We soon arrived at Addis-Ababa, the Ethiopian capital and all I could do was marvel at the edifice that made the national airport in my country of origin look like a basket case. Never mind!  We proceeded to connect the scheduled flight to Nairobi and the aircraft this time was not the twin engine Boeing 767 we alighted from earlier. Rather, it was a Bombardier turbo-propeller Q400-DHC aircraft that pummeled our ear drums with disturbingly loud humming sounds for 125 straight minutes. Our hearts sang praises when we finally landed at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi. Local time was 2am in the morning. Our host, Elder Julius of the Kingdom Embassy International was on hand to receive us and we quickly drove through the streets of Nairobi and connected the Thika Superhighway in no time. We soon arrived at Mutomo Inn where we would be lodged for the next four days.

We were allowed just a few hours of sleep before Elders Julius and John knocked on our doors. The conference would be starting in a few minutes and we needed to move swiftly as one of the Top Church Leaders and carriers of The Reformation in Kenya - Apostle James Mbugua (of Fountain Gate Ministries) was already waiting with his crew of 3 beautiful daughters and a number of pastors.

The next 1 hour would be one of the most breathtaking in my Continental Pilgrimage as Apostle James unleashed a deeply challenging and awe-inspiring message on “Developing a Hearing Ear”. I and Maxwell kept staring at each other as we realized that the hunter had indeed become the haunted. We came to minister, but we were now the ones getting a full dose of ministration of the WORD.
Some of the stunning words that came forth include:
“When you study the WORD, you connect with Christ because he is encoded in the scriptures;
When you dwell within the limits of God’s word, you gain competitive advantage;
His voice is an impenetrable shield against the tempter..e.t.c”.

Next was Maxwell. He mounted the podium and delivered a 30minute charge on “God’s Perspective of the Church”. Expectedly, he dispensed thought provoking and life-transforming words on “The Power of our Heavenly Citizenship” and “The power of representation”. I was quite surprised to see the highly respected Apostle James scribble down nearly 3 pages of notes while listening to Maxwell. It was quite a humbling sight that a man with such pedigree would exercise no reservations in publicly “taking lessons” and gleaning biblical insight from much younger ministers. That singular sight had more impact than 200 messages on humility. This example perfectly exemplifies one of the core tenets of The Reformation which posits that belief-systems must be modeled by accurate corresponding life-style. In simple terms, actions speak louder than words. John1:14 says “….and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the father full of Grace and truth”. In the present dispensation, people have grown weary of just hearing words from leaders. They want to see role models, manifestations and visible results. A model or picture is indeed worth a thousand words. Don’t just tell me, show me! Live it! Do it! Execute it! Demonstrate it!

At the close of the meeting, we were ferried down to Elder Julius’ house and indeed, a royal table was set before us in the presence of our friends. An emphatic “Ugali” banquet was set before me with a thousand other add-ons and Kenyan delicacies in a manner similar to the treatment meted out to the guests of the stinkingly rich and magnificently wealthy King Solomon at those ancient royal banquets. After we got filled to overflowing, we journeyed back to Mutomo Inn and logged off into deep visions of the night.

The next 3 days were intense with deep expositions of the WORD and powerful demonstrations of the supernatural gifts of the Spirit as we skillfully unveiled and systematically delivered the apostolic package we were sent to deliver to Africa.
Maxwell taught powerfully on:
”Fathering and Sonship”,
“The Purpose Code”,
“Apostolic Command to the Nations” and
“Accessing Apostolic Grace: The Set Man Principle”.

All these messages are profound eye-opening teachings that all men alive need to hear. I say this without any iota of reservation.

I delivered a 4-Part 62 Slide message on “The Wealth Code”. I spoke on:
“Covenant Blessings”,
“Entrepreneurship Models from Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Daniel and Nehemiah”,
“Laws of Displacement”,
“Real and Financial Assets”,
“Career Development” and
“Developing a Business Plan”.

At the close of the conference, it was incontestable that such a phenomenal deposit of Insight, Capacity and Grace had been delivered. A permanent SHIFT had taken place. Everyone who attended could barely wait as they eagerly sought to go out and invade the systems of the earth armed with a new kind of ammunition.

With the conference closed, I had just a few hours left to spend in East Africa, so I decided to maximize my time. I, Maxwell and our hosts went on a tour of the Nairobi National Park and Mamba Village (Crocodile Village). It was such a thrilling conclusion to my mission as I visited and took photographs with some of the largest cats and cold blooded animals I had ever seen in my entire life. Res ipsa loquitor! (The thing speaks for itself).

As I conclude this report from the depths of the Niger Delta region of Nigeria, I am still yet to recover from the extreme hospitality showered on us by Elder Julius and his entire KEI household (Kingdom Embassy International). Only the Lord can repay such apostolic sacrifice.

NEXT STOP: ……I’ll keep you guessing…but you can be certain I’ll be back to EAST AFRICA!
